Happy Martin Luther King Day!!!
no school today, but i'm stuck at home
doing homework like a nerd..
a lot of work to do leh.

yesterday,went to san mateo,which is like a
30 min ride from saratoga.
cassandra and byron are back from china!
(well my friends when i used to live here a
loooooong time ago.then they moved to beijing like
4 years ago and they're back now!)
apparently beijing is super polluted.
and she says her school really sucks.
like the people dont do their homework, and the teachers
use swear words.kinda scary.
it was nice to catch up with them after like 7 years.
yeahhhhhhh.

went shopping today at great mall!
supposed to go to san fransisco but the trip
was cancelled due to the rain:(
anyway great mall is this GIGANTIC mall
with like so many shops that it takes hours
to walk finish one round.
and everything is linked,all on one floor!
with cinema!
like woah,how much land is that!!
the gap/guess here is cheaper here!
i think dixin will go crazy in hottopic.
she's back from england(lucky!!),shall try calling her later.
and my snowboarding trip is cancelled
because my mum hasnt bought insurance!!
might have mentioned that before.
anyway, its depressing cos my holidays

hey babes!
been real busy lately..studying for the
finals which are in a few days!!
but i guess its not so bad compared to singapore.
its MCQ for math,chem,history,bio.
for lit you have to write an essay,which is crazy
cos we only finished the book a week ago.
they go super fast!!!its a shakespeare book(as you like it)
about the same thickness as enemy of the poeple.
and they finished it in like 3 weeks!
oh we get these cheat cards where you can write ANYTHING
on it and use it on the finals!
for history we can bring in our notes!!
like whats the point of studying?
but chem and math is hard(for me)
i bet if anyone of you were here you would totally ace it!
esp. the math which is emath standard.but then,
my emath seriously sucks!!i think i'm better at amath
which is kinda weird eh?

anyway.i went to this concert where my friend
whos in the hip hop crew was performing in.
there are A LOT of dance team.
the dance team,hip hop crew,spirit squad(cheerleaders)
song and dance team.
i'm definitely gonna join one of them next year!
they are really good technically...

ME AND MY EXCITING LIFE.

it is a saturday night.and i'm at home,
well doing nothing:(
no mood to study anymore..
there are no nice shows on the weekends!
weekdays then got nice tv serials
like americas next top model,gray's anatomy etc
ooh one tree hill too.
and i know the ending of prison break!
kinda sucked cos i missed the entire middle part.
the new season starts in january,very fast right?
oh yes.i went to the library today.
to borrow biography books for my english hw thing.
and you have to act out your character.
i borrowed this geisha autobiography and
one on a gay ballet dancer who died of aids.
but how am i supposed to act it out?

oh yes more about my new school.
i have 5 friends now.
go me!~but then.i still feel lonely.
maybe cos i only see them at lunch.sometimes.
in most classes i know NO ONE.
like in world lit they go to the teacher and
ask whos this girl when they're handing back
papers and i'm right in front of them.
and i got so annoyed because my chinese test was
all fan ti zi.so i took some time to read it.
and the teacher was like time for ting li
and before i could flip the page the tape thing
started and i missed out the first question.
i must get A for chinese!!!
its so easy lor.like the ting xie words are lan duo,cong ming.
there is a pool, track,tennis courts.
oh random fact:to light the bunsen burner they use matches!
and instead of pidgeons there are seagulls.
cheerleaders do NOT run the school.
the pe room has lockers where you put your clothes in
(cos you need to change in pe attire)and everyone
just strips.well,its all girls so its all right.
the bubble tea is so caffeinated.couldnt sleep the
entire night after i drank milk tea here/
i do not have a boyfriend.(two more months left!)
did i mention its cold?
sucks cos theres no indoor place to eat.
90% of the population uses a jansport bag.

the official gun-drill is on monday.
the sheriff is going to come around all the
classrooms and try to get in.
we have to be quiet or we'll fail and
have to redo it.
apparently last year the school failed and
had to redo it..
and for bio it was quite gross.
the tables had gum under them!!
multi-coloured globs..
but if you really think about it its
quite scary!!
what if it happens during lunch when
everyone is out of the classrooms?
or if they use bombs/break the windows?!

yea, and their vending machines can accept notes.
the fire alarm sounds like a frog.
it was super random!!fire drill happened during lunch.
and everyone just strolled out into the field.
and after a whole you just strolled back
to where you came from.
bring your own lunches!
because they only sell fast-food.
for lunch i had chilli-cheese fries..so unhealthy!
i can feel my arteries clogging up.
oh and i upgraded my chinese from chinese4 to chinese AP
which is the highest level.
at least i wont feel like i'm wasting time.
but my school is a nerdy school.

but yea, everyone is hardworking so its kinda like singapore.

we have this food drive thing to raise canned food for the poor.

male teachers are going to shave their hair!
and the winning class gets a pizza party.
so then the teacher put a cup on her desk,
and you can donate $$ so she can buy stuff.
and it was like overflowing with cash.
i donated one dollar:D
yea yea so i'm stingy.
but i got donate some canned food ok!!
and this superrrrr rich dude wanted to

school colours are purple and gold

and the mascot or whatever is matadors

and the school lunches aren't great..
they just sell stuff like pizza,buritos.
all fast food..
so i bring lunch to sch now in a LUNCH BAG!

HAD MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.
CHAO NERVE-WRECKING.
it was raining throughout the
day so it was super cold.
so a TA(teacher assistant)showed us
around the school before our class started.

HISTORY:they dont have geog!i'm super
behind..they are learning european history
now..currently doing napolean.
the class is interesting but the teacher just
talks non-stop during class..and none
of it is in the textbook!

half-hour break so you can ask for consultation

LIT/ENGLISH:super slack for me cos I just
had to listen to them give presentations.
but i'm no good at public speaking!
if i had to do that i would die.
they're not doing MOV:(
going to start on shakespeare:as you like it.

MATH ANALYSIS:teacher was scary.they are
doing logarithms now so its ok.but the way they
present answers is different.

RECESS(15min)

PE DANCE: again another slack class
cos i dont have the attire.
sat in class and watched them dance.
seems like a fun class!

LUNCH BREAK(50min)
ate school lunch(pizza) with my sister.
she is super lucky ok!!there's this girl who
s the same age as her who migrated to US
from SINGAPORE in september!!!
KANASAI.anyway there is no canteen.
you have to sit on the benches or on the floor.

CHEM(honours)
chem was ok..learned somthing new.
the lewis structure..haha reminded me of rongs.

CHINESE(4):teacher wasn't here today.

had to type everything in chinese.yea..

really really homesick..

but its hard to really make friends cos
you have to keep moving around for classes.
and the classes you take are different so
you meet a lot of ppl but dont really
get to interact with them.
and they are really clique-ish since they've
known each other since junior high.

yea, this is long overdue..
yesterday was halloween!
we went to valley fair shopping mall to
buy new clothes, since we only have summer stuff.
anyway, i really admire americans!
i cannot stand the cold lor.
and all their shirts are so thin.
like can see-through!!
and all the little kids were dressed up in costumes.
there was one who dressed up in a POTC costume.
wah got the wig and the sword and everything!
totally looked like a mini jack sparrow.
and there was this dude who dressed up as dracula.
he had his face painted and his hair gelled back:)
and all the girls were in princess costumes.
heh wish i was 10 years younger!

anyway, i'm starting school tmr!
starts at 8, beacuse i only have six subjects!!
supposed to be 7 but all the classes are filled..
so i get to sleep in:D
took the english test today.
so stupid lor. it was like listening and aural exam.

Hmm..i didn’t go on a tour like last yr..
So these are the highlights of my trip=)
1.visiting my relatives.
They’re damn nicee.and they have this
golden retriever called palidan!!he’s like
big and overweight but who cares?
2.the weather.its like air-con 24/7
Which is way better than Singapore:/
3.snowboarding!!i am so addicted to it=)
Its so fun lah.
And the snow looks like a huge pile of sugar.x)
4.my “sister” michelle.
She is the most adorable baby in the world!
Okay..one of the most adorable ones anyway..
5.unlimited movie access!!
yes so for US$6, I watched like
3-4 movies in one go.
Hmm.i watched incredibles,national treasure,lemony
Snicket,ocean’s 12,spanglish..and Alexander.
Yes,I watched ALEXANDER.be jealousx)
And I should have watched meet the fockers.
Cos here its like NC16..
6.meeting old friends.
Like friends I used to know when
I was living there a few yrs ago..

7.making new friends.
It was a bit what at first..
Cos like my sister and I were

Dunno why lah.

The malls there are huge.
